A quick explanation...

Looking at the most recent three posts, I know Cal's looks rather sparse in detail compared to Liam and Jaspers...the explanation......at 11 years old, cutesy detail is really not an option, thanks Mum...... Callum did of course have a wonderful time with his mates but no monster cakes or fun burgers for the preteen!!! Liam is proud of his monster birthday, at 9 years old monsters ARE ok! As for Master Jazzy, Mummy can gush all she likes and he will never complain...LOL

It is official......Jasper is a HK pup!

A very quick post to keep our puppy lover followers up to date with the youngest Weir's antics!! Jasper has it seems settled nicely into HK life as well as a more grown up form. Gone is the big fluffy baby coat, gone also the very short intermediate coat and his lovely long red coat is getting richer in colour. He  has been walking the Peak with his best puppy pal Max one a week and there is a photo to follow of him up on top on one particularly misty walk recently. He has struggled with the rain this week (absolutely hates getting wet and his little eyes blink with every drop )- a true HK native now-and refuses to pee unless I find him somewhere sheltered and dry!!! Huddling with Mum under the umbrella is NOT an option. And the icing on the cake- he loves the HK 7's- well at least his promotional 7's rugby ball at any rate!!!

Liam celebrates 9 !!

Our darling Liam celebrated his 9th birthday this weekend. In true Liam style he wanted just the same party as big brother Callum and so his friends Calum( yes confusing huh, same as big brother, but with just one "L"), James and Oliver came over after school and he had a monster sleepover party.  He asked me to make monster burgers as the dinner and he had a monster cake. Then yesterday we went to Liam's favourite restaurant Jaspa's (yes, I know the confusion continues!) for lunch where the boys enjoyed their own booth.

Callum turns 11!

Our dear Callum turned 11 just a few weeks ago and it has been quite a busy month so I am just getting to post now.  He had Scott, Finn and Ryan over for a sleepover party, they played X-box games then we went to Callum's favourite restaurant (Dan Ryan's) for  lunch the following day where the boys had their own booth. 

High tea Ferragamo Style

Odila and I had a lovely adventure  into the world of haute couture this afternoon. Thanks to our dear friend Riya we won tickets to the Spring Summer  collection 2009 launch which was held at the Mandarin Oriental hotel. In addition to the fashion show we were treated to a lovely high tea which culminated with  black gloved waiters and amazingly dressed models serving us with miniature Ferragamo  petit fours. There was a passionfruit mousse watch, a lipstick, and several chocolate miniature cakes including one wrapped in a tape measure.....no doubt telling us how many inches we'll gain by eating the said yummyness!! I will post some pics to try to convey the idea.  Needless to say there was NO sign of an economic downturn with some of the items costing in the $30,000 HKD range (for a lovely bag, or jacket). Odila and I admired the style, ate the goodies and marvelled at the  way the "other half" live.  There was a very sweet  official photographer (who took the pic of us together) who said we did a better job than the real models...LOL.... and we didn't even have to pay him!!!!
